Our electric bill for the Baja was okay, but as usual the Bonita (which has a digital themostat and is smaller than the Baja unit) had an electric bill twice as high. We think the problem is that renters do not know how to adjust the digital thermostat which is in celsius and we agree with Joe that many renters leave the air going and open the doors and windows.

Please send these e-mails to the Board of Directors. You can send the message via www.laspalmashoa.com or e-mail jerrypetty@cox.net, danddimovski@yahoo.com.

I agree that if the guards cannot enforce the rules why have either (the rules or the guards).

We did see fireworks being set off in the Grande parking lot at all hours.   please send an email to the Board and Francisco - voicing your concern.   This is not good.

Unfortunately, when the bill was sent out the same template was used as for the 1st quarter billing.   The payment is due no later than January 1, 2008?  Just goes to show there is confusion everywhere.

The vote did not generate interest and the topic is dead.   Thanks for your interest.

We have not noticed sand in-between the glass panels.  Next time we go to Las Palmas, we will check it out.  Not sure about any warranty.

 Thanks for the heads up.

Electric bill for Dec/Jan in Baja 402 (1 bedroom) was $118.40 had probably 9 rental days.

Electric bill for Dec/Jan in Bonita 403B (1 bedroom) was $91.50 had no rentals and we used the condo 6 days.

We own Bonita 403B and had NO rentals for Dec, Jan and only 3 days in Feb so not much needed repair.  Dave and I try to stay at our condo at least once a month to check things out - usually our concern is the vertical blinds - guess renters don't know how to use them.   I am sure if the repairs were not performed in your unit that you will be reimbursed.  You need to send Jerry another e-mail and when you are at Las Palmas show America your unit and that the work was not done.  Maybe the renters should be paying if the damage is being done while it is rented?   We think that before the renter checks out the unit should be inspected.

Hope to see you some time.

If others failed to vote for the same reason - because the ballot needed to be notarized - (which we figured would happen) - the Board should not have made that a requirement.

At the annual membership meeting in November, we didn't want to have that requirement as it is not a mandated requirement.  But, the Board was concerned someone might  come back on the Association or themselves for what I don't know.  If they act in the best interest of the Association and follow the governing documents, they will be fine.

We don't have paperwork notarized for passports, voting or doing business and buying property in Mexico - so why this?  We suggested at the meeting that a copy of the owner's driver's license would suffice.

Where's the polling booth? However, I do like the orangish color.

*This just goes to prove that interest is not there - empathy rules.  Even after all the efforts of the committee to propose a fair and equitable change, it still fails --- not because the owners voted it down ---  but, because the owners apparently can't be bothered.  Thank you Graham (and all the committee members) for your hard work - I do appreciate it.
