Just got back to my computer and if I had heard these ideas earlier I would have agreed and suggested them for the Survey. I was asked to come up with some options which I did. Never pretended to have all the answers and ideas which is the reason all owners should get and stay involved if possible. GHR can the survey be reset with these other options? Thanks Gary

My suggestion would be rather than altering the existing one, start fresh with another poll. Below, I hope, is every combination that has been suggested. I also added APPROXIMATE price ranges which you may or may not want to show in the poll. All Pools and All Spas $15,500.00 $20,000.00 Club House Pool & All Spas $11,500.00 $15,000.00 All Pools $8,000.00 $10,000.00 All Spas $7,500.00 $10,000.00 All Spas except the Club House Spa $6,000.00 $8,000.00 Club House Pool & Spa $5,500.00 $7,000.00 Baja and Grande Pools only $4,000.00 $5,000.00 Club House Pool only $4,000.00 $5,000.00 Club House Spa & Baja or Grande Pool $3,500.00 $4,500.00 Baja or Grande Pool only $2,000.00 $2,500.00 Club House Spa $1,500.00 $2,000.00 You and Jerry Colglazier may want to work out which ones you want to actually post and if you offer up the exact wording I will post and announce the new poll. Thank you GH Robins

I sent a personal message to Jerry with my phone number so we could discuss if he wanted to. I like the pricing added to the options and I assume those are the monthly numbers. Can we multiply the number by 9 to get an approximate annual cost and what is the current annual budget under the existing HOA dues? I know you probably have it in one of these posts but it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack at this point. Thanks Gary

Yes, all the figures are per month. I have the actual costs, as presented, but do not know for certain what was or was not heated during those months. This is the propane expense for the whole project and includes at lease one hot water tank. I believe someone once said that none of the pools had been heated since May. The Spas of course, were heated 24/7 until recently. January......$6,958.00 February………4,737.00 March…….…….3,862.00 April…………..13,557.00 May……….…... 9,176.00 June…………....2,840.00 July………….…..1,863.00 August………...4,001.20 From the latest figures mailed to us with the announcement of the first meeting of the General Assembly: Propane: Budget…..…...…. 2005-$49,700.00-$4,141.66 per month average Projected actual 2005-$75,423.00-$6,285.25 per month average Budget……......….2006-$92,500.00-$7,708.00 per month average GH Robins

Graham & Gary I am checking e-mail remotely. On vacation for a week +. I think it would be okay to post those figures making certain everyone knows this is MONTHLY FIGURE. I am not certain how the cost figures would equate to 2006 propane budget snd/or if some variations would triger an additional increase in dues. Jerry

No Grahm I do not. As a matter of fact I am so dissapointed in this entire cluster that I just want to sell my Condos at Las Palmas and get out of this whole situation. To me it is a simple issue but just like the camel, which started out to be a horse but got designed by a committee it is just silly. So I want to go on record as saying whichever way the "powers to be" want to use the propane I am adamant that it be applied evenly 7 days per week and will use whatever means at my disposal to get this accomplished. So far, from the poll you set up it appears most people want the Clubhouse Pool and Spa heated only. Sounds fine to me. Whatever the costs are to run Las Palmas they are and I am willing to pay my share to get some peace and relaxation at my House or Condo or Resort or Community or whatever tag someone wants to put on Las Palmas. If I sound a little frustrated, I am. Everytime someone asks "why should the pools/spas be heated midweek when no one comes down mid week" I want to scream. So all I ask is to put it up for a vote to see what people want heated and make sure they are aware it will be 24/7. Thanks Gary

I apologize for not being able to give you a first hand factual answer. I do know that the recommendation was to heat, for now, ALL the Spas on the Week ends. I do know that Bob Miller authorized the posting of this: "..posted on 09/28/05 at 21:31 From Bob Miller September 28, 2005 "Villas Bonita's will heat at least one pool. The decision by the CEO is based on the committment Villas Bonitas made to their customers to provide a community with the amenities that make Las Palmas unique. Some of these customers have not yet closed on their condominiums or villas.". Bob Miller I suppose what was not said is WHEN they would be heated. I have asked both the Transition Team and Bob Miller for a response and so far have not had a reply. From the sounds of the note from Mitch Katz - A Transition Team Volunteer, and other posted notes, it sounds like Villas Bonitas has not yet heated a pool. It does sound like the Spas have been heated during the week ends only. I do not know any of this for a fact just reading between the lines. Does anyone else have any first hand information as to what is and is not heated? Sorry for the confusion. GH Robins
